"Yeah, I Said It" is a song by Rihanna from her eighth studio album Anti. It is the eighth track on the album.

The song[]

The song Timbaland's only credit on the album, "Yeah, I Said It" finds Rihanna in full sexual form, detailing her desire for aggressive bedroom play.

Similar in sentiment to "Kiss It Better", sex in "Yeah, I Said It" is used as a form of escapism, unplanned and unconstrained. Using the dominant type of language in male hip hop, Rihanna gives her man permission to excel in speed and technique.

In the course of Anti, sex is often separated from gender stereotypes. Rihanna challenges the notion that all pop songs sung by women should be concerned with love and "clean" desire.

In the second verse, Rihanna refers to the fact that cell phones have become increasingly off-limits in bedrooms, due to the ability to expose a spouse's betrayal or the details of a superstar's personal life. Rihanna is instead encouraging her partner to film their fun.

Reviews[]

According to Jordan Bassett from NME, "As with the last song, there are moments of brilliance here. The minimalist piano refrain, which loops throughout, is cold as fuck, bringing to mind Drake and Future’s mixtape ‘What A Time To Be Alive’ – a record that dealt with the cold-blooded luxury of wealth. Yet there’s so little else going on (except some admittedly cool bleeping sounds) that ‘Yeah, I Said It’ passes with making much of an impression and may be Anti’s weakest track."[1]
